I wish I were as shocked as I am angry. I am struggling to find words. Why am I putting together an environmental radio show, doing the grocery shopping, as though everything were normal? Why is everyone not out in the streets protesting? If I could answer that for myself, I guess it’s the same for others. Sadly, I don’t think stopping Trump is enough; he is doing what others before him only talked about. Too many administrations of both parties have coveted other country’s oil—remember “How did our oil get under their sand?” from Gulf War days? Why did we think we had any right to whatever it was we were fighting for in Vietnam? How do we make it end?

Scary that China has been playing war games prior to today. It makes me question how they knew and whenit.

Yeah, I don't know what happens now... a few months back I said we had about 90 days before we went past the point of no return (Sept 7), I was off by about 28 days... I think this might have been it.

I'm not even sure what else to say at this point...

I hate that I can’t edit posts. I just finished the piece and I knew you were going to post. When I heard the news this morning, the only thought that went through my head was …it’s over now. I had to really preform at work today, so I had a mental break from it. I’ve been waiting for your post, because I still want to believe in our country, but I have a real sense of dread that it is truly over. I had hoped that the summer would move the narrative, it moved a little but not enough. We went through the fall into the holidays, people continue to completely blinded from the crisis around them. I am Gen X and I am done. Good luck America

Vlad just condemned US as engaging in illegal aggression! How low can we go!

The thing is, we don't need foreign oil. America even exports oil. That effectively eliminates "taking back our oil" as the objective here. So what is the objective?

Aside from "Wag the Dog," consider this: all war is financial. Then think about what there is to gain, & especially who gains it. That's where the real motivation lies.

Emperor Cheeto Of The Western Hemisphere

Questions ask why the US is involved in Venezuela? Cheeto ran a campaign counter to such an invasion of countries but of course he lied about so many promises since he wanted to stay out of jail

Despite the fact that Venezuela has the world's largest proven oil reserves the type of oil that the country brings out of the ground is a dirty petroleum product because it requires many many steps to get a marketable product Venezuelan oil accounts for only 1% of the overall global oil production

So if it’s not about a valuable oil product, then is the US military Venezuelan capture of an awful tyrant like Maduro the real reason for this US military action? Maybe but corruption, power, and money always are the motivating factors for Cheeto who desires to be tough guy strongman who can become the bully of countries in the Western hemisphere It sets the tone to all other Western hemisphere countries

In the end there are many reasons Emperor Cheeto decided to arrest a fellow dictator He’s an impulsive malignant narcissist with loyalists willing to do his bidding and oil which is a gift to the American oil industry and its campaign donors is another piece of this bizarro puzzle Then there’s the Nobel Peace Prize Venezuelan activist who Cheeto flipped off when she offered the US help Polling numbers suck and health insurance costs are going up for millions And the action does serve as a great distraction from the haunting Epstein files and the news networks are swallowing the bait

And I had to switch off Australia ABC news yesterday as the financial reporter went on about American companies taking over the oil fields and the impact on oil prices all under the premise that it is natural for America to attack and takeover “bad” countries. Australia’s silence is not good.

There remains the issue of why and I think there is still too much forest to see the trees.

- Is it Putin destroying the west?

- Is it distraction from the Epstein files?

- Is it demonstrating action in support of the threats to Iran?

- Is it the capitalists pillaging the world?

- Is it the gangsters playing and learning how to use their newfound power?

- Is it a mechanism to prove the loyalty of the military?

- Or some combination of the above.

I am mindful that Trump is an 80 year old with seemingly degraded capabilty. Ie how does he manage to tweet tens of tweets on different topics in an hour? So it must be the cabal behind him.
