Honestly, I think they’re showing AI videos that don’t match reality, and he’s lost too much of his mind to be able to tell the difference. Notice how he keeps talking about Greenland being surrounded by Chinese/Russian ships, which is completely detached from reality?
By his own admission, he will be stopped only by his "own morality." The problem: his moral development never progressed beyond stage 1 (as per Kohlberg) - coinciding with a very narcissistic stage of emotional development: a) what's right is what feels good to me; and b) anything I do is okay if I don't get caught, if I can get away with it. Regarding the latter, having installed unquestioning, cult member loyalists as minders, it's impossible to get caught - at least for the foreseeable future. To ensure that for the longer term, I don't believe we'll have free and fair midterm (or later) elections. Expansion of his private trigger-happy ICE army, now being recruited from gun shows(!), will enforce unfairness through intimidation. His stacking of appellate courts further insulates him against formal charges of wrong doing....

You have no idea how much I appreciate this comment... I've been trying to say this for a year now and I keep getting flak from folks who keep insisting that as long as we can get enough people out on the streets to protest that that will somehow materialize into a solution... It's not.
And as for the protests, we should be protesting outside our electeds' offices demanding that they use their levers of power, not outside of ICE facilities where we just end up serving as target practice and further excuse for violence and escalation. ICE/Trump/Noem absolutely love our current tactics as they play right into their hands without ever putting pressure where it might actually make a difference.
