Excellent substack. I have to say that you really educated me about some of the players I didn’t already know about who were involved in this corporate takeover of our country. As you know how important I feel about education, which is the key to everything, this should be read by everyone to give them the knowledge, background & reasons why this coup is happening here today. And as always, the biggest problem is…how can we get this message out there? Unfortunately, none of the legacy media will allow this to come to light, except, maybe Rachel Maddow? Lawrence O’Donnell? The Atlantic? An op-ed in the NYTimes (I’m not sure they would publish this though). Messaging is everything, and your messaging is always clear and on point. This post in particular is the one that you need to get out there for all to see.
Yeah, the entire thing is 10k words long, so I'm not sure of a lot of outlets who would publish it.
My next goal is to start making some connections with some larger creators. I might be calling into Thom Hartmann's show later today (He had started recommending my Substack a few weeks ago and just became a paid subscriber a couple of days ago, so I figured the least I can do is call in to say thanks, maybe start building some kind of collaborative relationship).
I wonder if Maddow could do some kind of deep dive on this, I've seen her do some long segments before. Might be an interesting venue to explore.
I’m glad that you are tuned into Thom Hartmann. Today’s substack about Dark Enlightenment was something that I hoped you had read because it definitely seems to put so much of what is going on into perspective. As I always say about knowledge being power, that power gives us the basis to put information out there into small chunks of information so that it will actually be read
People don’t seem to have the patience to really delve into the meat & potatoes, so keeping this in mind, we have to find creative ways to reach them. I’m not sure how to accomplish this, but the more exposure we can get from those people with the biggest megaphones is a great start. Honestly, we need to have our own media outlets to reach the most people possible. Meidas has very effectively been able to do this on YouTube, as they now have the largest tuned in audience for our cause.
Yeah. One thing that's interesting and that might illuminate the plan. Going back to Hartmann, if you go to his second Substack https://thom.tv/ and search on top for Lukium, you will see that my articles have now been featured in 4 different episodes. I realized this when I was tunning in the other day (the 19th), and he was reading from an article about the way the Trump regime is treating immigrants that sounded super familiar 😜
I don't say this to brag about it, but to point out that our message is starting to permeate into other media, which is precisely the goal.
The key to me, however, is to try and find a way to make this process more intentional rather than incidental.
I might send an email out to our readers over the next few days to ask that if they feel comfortable, to reach out to their top 3 other new media creators, whether it's written like Substack, or video like YouTube, and drop the American Manifesto in their comments along with a suggestion to engage with me on the current topics and/or messaging strategy.
I think that if they start seeing repeated recommendations of their own viewers that we should collaborate, then maybe we'll get some traction.
Also, on the back end of things, you should start seeing some collaboration happening. There's the letter exchange with Lady Libertie from the American Pamphleteer that just started, and I have some small collabs with established journalists happening in the background as well (You'll see some names soon—if you see someone named in one of my articles, I'm probably in direct contact with them).
The point is: piece by piece, an engine is being built. Let's see where it can take us.
The deep dive here is important and should be read by everyone. How will this help us convert (or convince) those who fell under the spell of people like Falwell and Limbaugh? I was an adult when this was happening. My parents constantly blasted Limbaugh on the radio. My upbringing was in a very conservative family, but - somehow - I was able to resist it. How do we undo the so firmly held views of those who did not resist?
I think it's important for Democrats to be well read on how we got to where we are now. I believe the key to getting to the other side is to show them how they've been indoctrinated into believing that corporations should essentially rule everyone, that the safety net and government are evil.
A lot of people, especially those under the MAGA spell, have no clue the degree with which their opinions are manufactured. And a lot of the people on our side have gotten so used to being on the defensive about their most important issue that they don't realize we could all get on the offensive against the rightwing deep state.
So, with all that, to answer your question, there are 2 things:
1. This information should be useful in unifying us under a single banner that puts us in the offensive, rather than being on the defensive on a bunch of different issues.
2. It's an "attack vector" that can be used to divide MAGA between the powerful elites that control and brainwash their base and the base itself.
Thank you! There is much to learn and many strategies to develop. Right now, for me it is learning what best puts us on the offense. My sense is it must be our common humanity, and how that is being assaulted today. The wellbeing of our vulnerable children and elders, the destruction of our cherished rights and beliefs in our Constitutional tenets. With the information you have provided it is possible to tie the past to the present. It is something I will work on. Thank you, again.
I used to generally agree with the idea of trying to unify people on common humanity. But I think that only works when people's basic needs are well met.
Right now, there are quite a few people that are legitimately in a bad situation, from medical debt, to being stuck in a job where you can build no wealth no matter how hard you try, despite being in the wealthiest country in the world.
I think that when things get that dire, trying to appeal to people's sense of humanity will not work too well as they'll be looking out for their own and those around them.
So, I think that instead, we have to appeal to people's own sense of survival, and to point out to them who it is that is the real existential threat, which for the last 50 years, in most cases, is the very Republican Party, with their deregulation of Corps, tax cuts for the super wealthy, destruction of the safety net and cultural war issues designed to divide and conquer.
I just managed to get to this. Great stuff, Lukium! I too have been noticing this creeping danger, but only since the '90s when I found some antiabortion propaganda in the house I had just bought. That told me these people have been well organized & operating under the radar for years.
Btw, don't forget Jay Sekulow, who came up with the idea of using abortion as a wedge issue; & Bill O'Reilly, who did his part to spread the propaganda.
I can see I'm going to enjoy this series, no matter how mad it makes me!
Sekulow was kind of old news, in the sense he was just following the already existing plan. The abortion issue was introduced as a wedge issue way earlier. You'll get to it in the series, so I won't spoil it.

I am so happy to hear about all of this!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻I recommend your substacks to so many people, and I regularly post your substacks on BlueSky.

Gryn! Thanx. I really hate that SOB.
