Trump's Brazen Butchering Betrayal Set to Wreck America
An 887-page assault on working families, healthcare, and democracy is about to become law
On July 3rd, House Republicans rammed through Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — an 887-page monstrosity that merges tax cuts for billionaires, mass suffering, and authoritarian power grabs into one catastrophic package.
The vote was 218–214, with two Republicans joining every Democrat in opposition. And yet, let’s be honest: opposition speeches and record-breaking floor statements don’t mean a damn thing without the willingness to actually stop this regime.
Democratic leaders still think they’re playing a polite policy chess match while Trump and his loyalists are burning down the board. They’re more focused on decorum and cable news soundbites than fighting for the lives on the line.
Mass Death and Suffering, by Design
This bill slashes over $1 trillion from Medicaid1, threatening coverage for up to 17 million Americans2. The largest single rollback of health coverage in modern U.S. history.
Hundreds of rural hospitals are now on the brink of collapse3, leaving entire regions without trauma centers, maternity wards, or cancer treatment.
Nearly 600 nursing homes serving low-income seniors and disabled Americans are expected to close4, abandoning tens of thousands of vulnerable people to nowhere.
SNAP (food assistance) is gutted by $287 billion5, forcing millions — including veterans and children — to choose between food and medicine.
On top of that, Medicare faces up to $500 billion in automatic cuts6 over the next decade under PAYGO sequestration rules triggered by this bill’s massive deficit increases. These cuts threaten access to care for 68 million older adults and people with disabilities, pushing providers to limit services and raising out-of-pocket costs for seniors — all while billionaire donors get richer.
And the death toll? Over 50,000 preventable deaths every single year7. That’s not an exaggeration — that’s a projection from researchers at Yale and UPenn.
Billionaire Tax Bonanza
While working Americans lose healthcare and food, Trump’s bill locks in his tax cuts permanently. It eliminates taxes on tips and overtime — a cheap stunt meant to look like help for workers, while doing nothing to raise wages or fix job security.
Meanwhile, billionaires get expanded deductions and corporations get a deregulation feast.
The result? A $2.4–$3.4 trillion deficit bomb8 over the next decade, ensuring future cuts to anything that might keep regular people alive and stable.
Militarization and Environmental Sabotage
The bill also funnels $350 billion into border militarization and ICE expansion9, a clear signal of where their priorities lie: more fear, more surveillance, more state violence.
At the same time, it slashes solar energy tax credits10, sabotaging clean energy efforts and ensuring corporate polluters keep cashing in while climate disasters worsen.
This isn’t about “freedom” or “prosperity.” It’s about power — the power to decide who lives, who dies, and who gets forced to serve the billionaire class.
Their Suffering Is the Point
This isn’t a budget. It’s a blueprint for mass suffering.
They want you so sick, so hungry, so exhausted trying to survive that you have no energy left to resist. They want you divided, demoralized, and dependent on scraps — easier to control, easier to blame each other, easier to turn away from the billionaires who caused it.
Meanwhile, Democratic leadership clings to decorum and process, imagining that a strongly worded speech will save us from a fascist power grab. It won’t.
This Is Not a Drill
This is not a policy debate. This is an assault on the American people.
If we do not push back with real, unified, relentless resistance, we do not just lose programs — we lose lives. We lose democracy. We lose everything.
Are you going to watch it happen? Or will you join us in fighting back — through organizing, messaging, and building real power — before it’s too late?

Cuts in Trump’s budget bill are projected to devastate rural hospitals, with Medicaid funding reductions pushing many already struggling facilities toward closure. Experts warn these closures would leave rural communities without critical trauma, maternity, and cancer care, forcing patients to travel long distances or go without care altogether.

Researchers project that provisions in the House-passed budget reconciliation bill — primarily coverage losses and rollback of nursing home staffing rules — will result in over 51,000 preventable deaths annually. This includes deaths from loss of Medicaid and ACA coverage, loss of Medicare low-income subsidies, and reduced nursing home staffing standards.

It will be interesting to watch and read how citizens respond to this hell being unleashed on all of us. I suspect that not much will happen to push back on the monsters who run the country.
I have zero faith that most Americans will do anything, and we look more and more like those good Germans from WW2. It appears that the fascists have won...
