Why did they not get up and walk out en mass? Sitting there with signs looked ridiculous. Allowing the cameras to focus on their faces as he attacked them was a sign of weakness as well. Their very presence gave credence to his lies and viciousness.
Walking out would also have been a display of weakness. Like I suggested on Bluesky, they should've worn shirts saying something like:
"We're listening to the Spirit of Goebbels"
And any time he lied/spread propaganda, they should all have said in unison something like:
"Goebbels Speaks"
There's no shot they would've kicked out every democrat for doing that, as it would've played precisely into the messaging that he's a fascist propagandist who would silence his opposition.

We can agree to disagree. As a woman, I think sitting there taking abuse is a sign of weakness. I especially am thinking of the minorities also.
