To their defense, I'm not sure it was entirely ill-intended:
I believe my posting pattern triggered their automated system—I quote-post quite frequently, and when referring to something complex I've written an article about, I will link to the article on Substack.
I had received a warning e-mail about 5-6 days ago, to which I immediately replied back pointing to the overwhelmingly positive engagement my account has with the community, which is objectively identifiable by the lists we have been included in (can check using ClearSky), and how only a very small number of people have blocked our account. This is where I think they dropped the ball. Either they just completely ignored that e-mail, or something, because then the auto-moderation kicked in again last night.
Luckly, our community got right on it—at least a couple dozen people emailed them an appeal for our account, and when I woke up today everything was restored.
So, to be clear: I don't think they were trying to silence me. I just think they became too reliant and trusting of their auto-moderation system and didn't feel like reviewing our case before the auto-mod went full "let's take this account down"
