Trump Regime “Accidentally” Renditions Maryland Father with Legal Protection to Salvadoran Prison

The Trump administration has admitted that it illegally deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland husband and father, to El Salvador—despite a court ruling that barred his removal. Now he’s sitting in a prison known for torture and mass abuse, locked inside a regime-backed black site with no charges, no access to counsel, and no timeline for release.

The administration calls it an “administrative error.” But there’s no error here. There’s only the consequence of a system designed to ignore the law when the law gets in the way of cruelty.

Key Developments:

• Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a longtime Maryland resident with court-ordered protection from deportation, was removed to El Salvador on March 15, 2025, despite ICE being fully aware of his protected status at the time of removal.

• After arrival, he was imprisoned in El Salvador’s notorious CECOT facility. His legal protections were dismissed by ICE without justification, and the Trump administration admitted this removal violated a standing court order.

• In official court filings, the government conceded that “although ICE was aware of his protection from removal… [he] was removed… because of an administrative error.” (CourtListener)
