Update — Fulton County Fires Back After FBI Seizes 700 Boxes of Ballots
"Are they stuffing other ballots in there?" Rob Pitts asked the question no one else would—then vowed to fight with every resource Fulton County has.
While others stenograph, grift, or chase the next distraction
this is the news that matters and how it’s connected.
“Stay the hell out of Fulton County.”
That’s what Rob Pitts told Donald Trump in 2020. And that’s what he said again today—standing at a podium, hours after FBI agents hauled away 700 boxes of election records from the county he leads.1
We covered the raid yesterday—Trump’s FBI executing a search warrant on the county that charged him. Today, Fulton County fired back.
The Commission Chairman didn’t flinch. He didn’t hedge. He named what’s happening: “These ongoing efforts are about intimidation and distraction. Not facts.”¹
What They Took
The FBI seized 700 boxes of 2020 election records—ballots and voter data that included “private voter information.”¹
Here’s what makes this raid absurd: the records were already scheduled for release. A Superior Court hearing on February 9th was set to discuss orderly transfer of the materials.¹ “All he had to do was ask the judge,” Pitts said. The records would have been turned over “in a matter of weeks.”¹
Instead: a surprise raid. Nine hours on site. No copies allowed. Warrant still under seal.¹
The Chain of Custody
Pitts asked the question no one else would:
“Once they left that facility last night in those FBI trucks, I don’t know where they are now. I don’t know who has them. I don’t know what they’re doing with them. Are they opening the boxes? Are they stuffing other ballots in there? I have no clue. I can use my imagination.”¹
Read that again. A county chairman is asking—out loud—whether federal agents are tampering with election materials. Not because he’s paranoid. Because the administration that screams “election fraud” has now taken custody of the ballots—with no oversight, no transparency, and no way to verify they haven’t tampered with them. The party of “election integrity” just broke the chain of custody on 700 boxes of ballots. Ask them why.
The warrant remains sealed. Fulton County doesn’t even know if they’re the target—or just collateral damage in a fishing expedition.¹ “Nothing was explained to us,” Pitts said. “It was difficult even getting a copy of the warrant.”¹
The Defiance
Pitts confirmed he’s been told he’s personally targeted—not in this criminal investigation, but for political retaliation because he “stood up to Donald Trump’s big lie and refused to bend to the pressure.”¹ His punishment for defiance? Disinvited from the White House.¹
When asked if he fears arrest: “Everything is a possibility... If it comes to that, so be it. We have done everything right.”¹
Then came the promise every county in America should hear:
“We will not give one inch to those who seek to take control of elections in Fulton County. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. We’re going to fight this in court with every resource that we have.”¹
The Poll Workers
Elections Director Sherry Allen stood beside Pitts. Her concern: the people who run our elections.
“Poll workers have been targeted,” Allen said. “We sometimes have difficulty recruiting poll workers because they are concerned about being subject to abuse.”¹ Translation: volunteers who run our democracy are afraid to show up.
After 2020, Fulton County poll workers “endured brutal and targeted harassment.”¹ Now that harassment campaign has the backing of federal law enforcement. Private voter information is now in the hands of an administration looking for enemies.
Pitts was explicit: “It is imperative that data from the 2020 election not be used to further harass our poll workers who have already endured so much.”¹
What This Shows
Seventeen elections since 2020.¹ Seventeen elections without incident.¹ Every audit confirmed the results. Every court rejected the conspiracy theories. Rudy Giuliani was ordered to pay $148 million for the same lies they’re now using to justify this raid.
None of that stopped Trump’s FBI from raiding the county that charged him with crimes.
But none of it stopped Rob Pitts from standing up and saying what needed to be said.
This is what resistance looks like—not just protests, but local officials refusing to bend. Refusing to stay silent. Fighting back with “every resource.”
The administration wants compliant officials. They want fear. They want silence. They want submission.
They’re not getting it. Not in Fulton County. Not today.
The Call
This isn’t an isolated incident. We track stories like this using the fascism syndrome—ten indicators that a democracy is sliding into fascism—so you don’t lose the thread in the daily chaos:
Weaponized justice: The county that indicted Trump is raided by Trump’s FBI. The chairman who defied him says he’s been told he’s a target.
War on reality: Records that were about to be legally released are instead seized by armed agents with a sealed warrant. Then the administration claims it’s about “election integrity.”
Capture of the state: The FBI—once investigating Trump—now serves as his instrument of retaliation against the county that charged him.
Seize the ballots. Seal the warrant. Target the officials who spoke up. That’s not law enforcement. That’s fascism.

Full press conference featuring Fulton County Commission Chairman Rob Pitts and Elections Director Sherry Allen responding to the FBI raid. Pitts confirms 700 boxes of 2020 election records were seized, that records were subject to active litigation with a February 9th hearing scheduled, and that Fulton County was not allowed to keep copies. Documents Pitts’s defiance (”stay the hell out of Fulton County,” “we will not give one inch”), his statement that he’s been told he’s personally targeted, and his concern about chain of custody: “Are they stuffing other ballots in there? I have no clue.” Allen confirms 17 elections conducted since 2020 without incident.

Ossof Counters Cheeto’s FBI Raid On Georgia Voting Center
Senate Democratic incumbent Jon Ossof was on Jen Psaki’s MSNOW outlining the FBI raid on the Fulton County(Atlanta metropolitan area) Voting Center and confiscation of voting records from the 2020 election
But this is just the beginning to normalize the FBI activities ramping up to the 2026 midterms Cheeto knows how deeply unpopular he is in the ongoing polling numbers over the last 6months and everything is trending in the wrong direction as he attempts to justify the Minnesota ICE assassinations of 2 US citizens
Ossof is making the point that this federal governmental invasion is just a harbinger of things to come Cheeto and his Nazi allies will do anything to prevent a free and fair election in the upcoming midterms and he’s getting governmental agencies ready to confiscate and violate states sovereignty over local elections
Let’s not presume this DOJ is in any way trustworthy, law-abiding or honest. These ballots were already counted by a Republican administration more than twice.
